Collaborative Knowledge Management (cKM) is a tool that allows employees to work together on creating interactive flow chats, mind maps and diagrams simultaneously in Second Life and on the web. The software combines ability to enter, organize and retrieve information with capacity to define flow between information pieces, show them graphically and visualize the concept or process.

Both Second Life and web interfaces are completely compatible. Flow charts that were created in Second Life are accessible via the web for review / updates and vice versa. Second Life part works best for synchronous collaboration (the effect that cannot be achieved by using competing entirely web-based knowledge management and collaborative software and platforms). At the same time, web interface can be utilized by individuals without Second Life access. It can also be used to review the information make quick updates. Use cKM to:

  • Manage, organize and visualize information across the enterprise
  • Increase efficiency of the meetings and brainstorming sessions
  • Set effective corporate training. Using CKM, training departments can rapidly create visual and interactive material for e-learning programs.
  • Improve project management. Collectively create project flow, timeline, update information on ongoing basis.
